THE POWER OF WORDS

I saw a group of teens near an overpass, spray paint in hands, scrawling four letter words ... I was saddened... was this the outpouring of their hearts?!

As I drove past and onward toward home, I kept thinking about them.  I prayed for them:  "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).

Or do they?!

I prayed that GOD'S word would penetrate their hearts.  I wished I could reach out to them and tell them this:

Your graffiti wall

HE drew a line in the sand…

He left us HIS words

He gave us His nail pierced hands…

So what do you do?

Spray, scribble, and scrawl...

Grafitti on overpass walls?

Is this the best you can say

With words?

Haven’t you heard?

He died for you! He loves you!

He wants you to LIVE…hear His words…

Not the lies of the enemy…

But the truth that He wants you to see!

That wall is your heart on display…

Crying out for attention -

But  Not  This  Way!

See what HE has for you…

Let Him erase it...Let Him replace it…

A new canvas which you...and He…

Can create…

It’s not too late!

Look HIS way!

I even prayed for a miracle...if only...instead of a display of foul language, they would write something more like this...if only they could watch this:

THE POWER OF CHRIST'S  WORDS...

" I T

    I S

        F I N I S H E D ! ”

         (John 19:30)

That poem was very powerful. The last three words, the most powerful ever spoken. He is risen, my friend. He is RISEN.

Amen Lorraine; I love that poem and I hope the young adults of this generation will see the light. I am praying along with you and believe God will raise up young people that will do things that will bring glory to God:) Thanks for sharing. Xoxo

We can never underestimate the power of a single prayer... and the strength of those three words. It is finished, indeed.

Very powerful and God had you just right there at that time to pray what you prayed. You sowed seeds and He will water them.

Oh how I wish you were there with me to see the pianos and write a poem.

Blessings and thanks for being obedient to pray and express your creativity through your poem...and watch the pianos maybe coming your way.
