This is just one of the photos from Abby's recent photo shoot...oh, yes...she's a model now! A super model as far as I'm concerned. She was so good as our super talented photographer friend Nicole snapped away all afternoon. I'm told there are plenty more pics coming soon, but for now these captured our hearts. If you notice in the pic above, I was trying to match her to our little pillow behind her! The necklace she is wearing actually belonged to my mom! Who would have guessed it would fit our little tweeny doxie pup! Well, she's not actually a pup anymore...you can see by the white around her nose and toes which used to be all tan. She'll be ten in April!
She's a great companion and so patient...obviously! ;)

She Waits
she greets me
with un-ending kisses
like a long lost love...
she showers me
with more adoration
than I deserve…
when I shed a tear
with a soft, knowing kiss of compassion…
she comforts my soul
as she teaches me
what love should be!
she wants one thing…
she wants me!
with her sweet love tap on my knee,
can we play?! oh please, can we play?!
as she resigns...
with her head on my lap

Oh, I LOVE Abby! What a sweet girl. My kids love to put Lambeau in all sorts of jerseys depending on the sporting event of the day...she'd be much happier with an elegant necklace :) Now I need to check out her show~
Hope your weekend is as marvelous as you are, my friend...did you get the freaky storms last night? Just south of the city there was 4-6 inches of hail!
Lizzy, I've seen your adorable pics of Lambeau all dressed up and loved them...she's such a good sport! I know she'd also look great in a necklace! ;) We didn't get the storms but it did rain heavy yesterday. The weather has been freaky, but I hope it stays warm! Have a great week-end!

Abby is A STAR!!!!! and she's as old as sparky!!! He's got white hairs coming in on the black spot around his eye....so cute!!! I think about her kissing your tears....she can feel you in every way. Such a blessing to have such a loyal loving companion. I love how the poem ends, with your best friend by your side!!!! Big hugs to your little baby....and the necklace just totally takes that photo to the next level LOL!
